A taste of Paris Fashion Week 2013Thursday, February 28, 2013
Firstly, Alexander Wang designs for Balenciaga were strict and geometric.Nice pants and furs. But Black and White. I was seeking a sight of color but... no!
Carven: Well, some of the oversized coats look like bathrobes. Am I mean? At least we saw some color.
Mugler: I admire Nicola Formichetti a lot. Pale colors, shapes inspired from old eras. The signature of Mugler with the futuristic and artificial fibers was NOT in this collection. We saw more past and also the fabric choice by the designer Sébastien Peigné.
The linear style of Pugh has not changed. Romantic and gothic dresses, structured and Vitorian pieces in - of course - black, white and gray. Something that was unexpected was the deep blue dress.
Felipe Oliveira Baptista: My favourite items of the colection are the oversised, strictly shaped and emphatic shoulder tops. We saw many monochrome outfits and as highlights two glittering mid-calf singular dresses.
Balmain: I loved the metallic and one shoulder tops, the harem pants and the mini and maxi skirts. Warning! The skirts are worn with pants. NEW TREND? Balmain was once again elegant and powerful with great cuts and as always one of a kind. Colors as red, purple, gold and silver took of the catwalk. My favorite show until now, even If I haven't seen a single dress in the whole collection. 10'.
